OUTCOMES
Since 1983, CMBD has prepared hundreds of Northwestern students for academic and professional success. Greater than 97% of CMBD trainees complete their PhD degree, fulfilling all requirements for graduation.
Of the former trainees who have graduated in the past 20 years:

13% hold tenure-line faculty positions

10% hold non-tenure faculty positions

33% hold managerial and leadership positions in industry

11% hold STEM-related positions in government, publishing, and the law

9% are completing medical residency

IMPACT
In the last ten years, CMBD trainees have published an average of 1.7 papers as first-authors and 3.2 papers as co-authors.
TIME-TO-DEGREE
In the last ten years, CMBD trainees on average have completed their PhD in less time than the average DGP and IBiS students.
